Not long ago I heard an announcement on the television for one of the new over the counter diet pills. It had the everyday parade of people with before and after pictures. All had lost a lot of weight, or at a minimum they claimed they did by employing this miracle diet product. It basically was very plausible. The ad essentially assured that you are going to lose weight. The curious thing was, every time they discussed the guarantee, they also added the words when used as directed.

It was blindingly obvious that when used as directed was the footnotes in the promise. In the commercial, they actually did give the instructions at one point, but they flew by so fast and were such small print that this was literally impossible to read them.

So I looked them up online . Here are the directions they furnished for you to lose weight with the product.
Take a tablet in the morning with 2 glasses of water
Take a tablet in the evening with 2 glasses of water
Drink a glass of water before each meal
Note : A glass of water should be at least eight oz.

Want to know a horrible little secret about these weight loss pills? And this is my personal belief remember. If you drink 7 glasses of water every day, you will shed the pounds.

Throw the pills away and just drink the water.

Struggling With Losing Weight When You Only Need A Healthy Cookbook

I’m truly tired of one diet after another promising that you will lose all the weight you ever will desire without any stress or issues. Everyone knows it never works that way. Diets work for some time, and then bammo! You hit that brick wall and regardless of what you do you cannot appear to lose any more weight.

Seem familiar? I’ll bet it does. So what are you thinking about doing now? The general public go back online and search for the following latest and greatest weight loss novelty and put down there hard-earned cash again and give the subsequent diet a try. It may work, and then again it may not. Meanwhile, you have gained the weight back since you quit the last diet. Same thing occurs on the new diet ; you lose a couple of pounds and then hit that wall again.

Has it ever happened to you that a diet isn’t really the solution to your weight management goals? Potentially not, but it could be accurate. You do not need another diet ( especially the latest and best trend diet ), you want to modify the way that you think about food and how to prepare it.

Open the door to your chiller and take a quick inventory of precisely what is in the door. It doubtless has at least half these things :

  • French dressing for salad
  • Whipped cream in a squirt can
  • Mayonnaise for sandwiches or salads
  • 2% or 3% milk for your cereal
  • Candy (I’ll bet you have a candy bar hidden behind the egg carton)
  • Cream for your morning coffee
  • Soda or other sugar drinks
  • Cream cheese
  • Butter and/or margarine

The reality is, if you threw away everything on the above list and started cooking using low calories recipes and low fats recipes you would never need to go on a diet again. You would just lose weight as you now will be eating foods that are much fitter. The issue is finding the proper recipes and enough of them to satisfy you and your family. Its not as hard as you suspect. Starts hunting for new recipes to cook that are healthy rather than searching for a new diet.

I’m a Food TV junkie.

I really do enjoy all the different cooking shows, although I’m really not that keen on the new emphasis on these reality shows, but that is just me.

Cooking is fun, and when you know how to do it right, you can lose weight just by using the right ingredients and the right recipes.

That’s my problem. Most of the cooking shows are way too advanced for the average home cook. They are usually hosted by former chefs and restaurant owners that want to dazzle and entertain (BAM!)

What we need is more “meat and potatoes” recipes, or more importantly, more low fat and healthy recipes. Ellie Krieger is my current favorite. I’ve got both her cookbooks and will get you full reviews very soon
